Manor House School is one of the oldest and most established private schools in Egypt, with a history that dates back to the mid-20th century.

Nationalization Period (1956)

During the Suez Crisis in 1956, the school was affected by the political situation and was placed under state control. It was renamed Port Said School, and the founding family temporarily continued their educational work outside Egypt.

Re-Establishment (1976)

In 1976, Manor House School was re-established in Egypt under its original name, following a request from the Egyptian government. The school reopened in Heliopolis and resumed its mission of providing high-standard education.

Foundation (1946–1947)

The school was originally founded by Wanda Bullen and her family. The first campus opened in Zamalek in 1947, offering a high-quality British-style education and quickly gaining a strong reputation among expatriate and Egyptian families.

Expansion and Growth

Following its re-establishment, the school expanded steadily:

- 1977: Opening of the Dokki (Mohandessin) branch

- 1992: Introduction of the British International (IGCSE) system

- 2000: Expansion to 6th of October City

Over the years, Manor House School diversified its academic offerings to include National, British, and American systems, serving a wide range of students.
